What is the Beginner Essentials Course?
It's a 5 week online course designed for beginner sewists to learn to sew clothes!
It's a combination of recordings, live sessions and community engagement where you’ll learn everything you need to get started and complete 4 essential wardrobe pieces. We’ll begin by learning to read a sewing pattern and build skills from there. As you gain new sewing skills you’ll unlock a level of empowerment you didn’t know existed!
Together, we’ll sew a pullover shirt and apair of elastic waist pants with pockets, a zippered clutch and knit underwear!
Hi, I am Leigh and I'm probably a lot like you!
I daydreamed of sewing clothes for about 6 years before actually diving in. It took me so long to get started because it all seemed too intimidating to me! I want to show you how it can be a lot easier to not only start but continue your garment sewing journey. I'm here to guide you all along the way. Sewing for me has never been just about sewing, and the awesomeness that comes with creating a wardrobe that is totally unique to you, but about gaining confidence that spills over into other areas of your life and helps you face fears and new challenges.
